When everyone you know is pregnant… stock up the present cupboard!
I don’t know about you, but I feel like pregnancy is spreading like wildfire these days. Not a week goes by without either a baby shower or new born arrival in my world and keeping up with buying gifts can get out of hand fast! I personally hate giving crappy presents (and receiving them too in fact) and equally hate overspending on gifts. The solution? Keeping a well stocked present cupboard! This has honestly not only saved me a lot of money (no more last minute rushing to the shops on the way to a party) but has also helped me know that the gifts I give are quality and pretty much guarantee a happy mama receiving them.
The basic premise is to be prepared! Map out the parties and expectant bubs over the next six months or so and go shopping!! Classic books, soft knits, teeny tiny baby shoes, cuddly wraps and quality handmade toys and room decor are all perfect gifts for a newborn. Use the below as a pretty great starting point, stock up at any sales and enjoy filling that cupboard with some just plain adorable goodies.
Wilson and Frenchy Knitted Hat $14.95, Babee & Me Handprinted Rattle Block $29.95, Each Peach Pear Plum Book $9.44, Country Road Chambray Prewalker Shoes $39.95, Sapling Child Organic Wrap $39.95, Zilvi Wood Feather Wall Decals $20, Spot Kids Uashmama Bag, Bunny and Kate & Kate Blanket Gift Pack.
